Born in Brooklyn, NY, Q lost his parents (Vincent Owens and Janet Ortiz, 2008 & 2012). He moved to California, in pursuit of being a Massage Therapist (2012). One evening in 2013, Q played at a Soul Food Sessions open mic, and touched someone with his music. Realizing he could touch people without hands, Q decided to pursue a music career — along with bodywork.
